Veeam Reporter Installation issue

Post by gerald@biosme.com »

Hi

During installation of Veeam Reporter I get the following error:
Microsoft SQL Server Express with SSRS download checksum does not match the expected value. Try again?

Does anyone know why i amgetting this error and how to resolve it?

Thanks

Hello Gerald,

Judging by the error message, it seems like Microsoft SQL Server Express with SSRS has not been downloaded properly, please double-check your ISP and try to install the product once again.

Please note that you may also pre-install SQL Server with SSRS manually in order to proceed with the installation.

Thanks!

Gerald,

You may also try this scenario: download SQL Server Express with SSRS from Microsoft site and put it to %temp%\VSDL directory.
In this case, Reporter setup will automatically pick it and will continue setup without downloading.
Thanks!

The only thing that I would add to this is that you need to select the use existing local instance of SSRS and make sure that the check box for Veeam Reporter to configure the SSRS is checked.

This stops Veeam going out and looking for the redistributables.

I have just experienced this with a POC and that was the resolution. Brand new VM, clean 2k8 install and clean SQL Express with Advanced Services download.

Thanks!
