Veeam v9.5, successful upgrade

Post by ferrus » 5 people like this post

It's rare that our organization would upgrade any system, particularly one as key as Veeam - so early after a release.
A requirement for 2016 support, for another emerging system, prompted the early upgrade.

There hasn't been many upgrade reports posted here since last week, so to give other admins confidence - I thought I'd post our results here. (it's also good to feed some positive comments here - rather than just support requests!)

The installation of Veeam ONE, Enterprise Manager, Backup & Replication, Console, Explorers, and the various Veeam proxy components - went very smoothly, without any errors.

There's a lot of testing still to be done, but an initial backup showed no issues with performance, CBT, FC connection, repository access or any other component.

Hope this is helpful for any other admins needing to make the jump, earlier than intended.

To add to this, I have seen a major INCREASE in backup performance.
