Manually start storage-level guard

Post by PenguinSSH »

Hey all,

I was wondering if it was possible to start only the storage-level guard portion of a backup job? I didn't see anything online to this effect but it would be most helpful if we could trigger that job earlier than currently defined in the job if we suspect something wrong with the backup files.

Thanks!

Health check cannot be triggered on demand, however, Veeam B&R will immediately re-transport all the blocks it identifies as corrupt during the health check.

[MERGED] Only Maintenance Job

Post by prubner »

Hello,

can I create maintenance jobs only?
In my case the health check for a 10 TB backupfile works 11:42 hours.
After this Job a copy to tape starts. Now is not enough time for this job before the next backup starts.
My backup strategie is incremental for ever with 14 restore points an daily backup to tape.
Now I want to change to Mo-Fr backup and copy to tape and Sa for Healt Check only. Is there a way to do this?

Peter, there's currently no way to trigger health check separately, so you can just edit the tape job schedule so that it doesn't work on Saturdays.
