Use of 'notes' in backupjob

Post by dries.vergote »

Hi

We are using the 'notes' option when a backup is finished of vm. Because of that not we have a double check if backups are delayed or don't have added to a backup job.
Now we have a case were we do not use tradional backup, but Netapp snapshot as primary target and snapvault as secundary target.
This backup method doesn't have the 'notes' option.

Is there another way the fill the notes in vmware with such backup method?

Regards
Dries

Maybe you can do this with a post job script that reads out the status of each VM in the job and update the notes field with PowerCLI
