Copy Jobs Active Full runs twice a week

Post by BjoernS »

Hi

I have multiple Copy Jobs with GFS activated (2 Weekly, 1 Monthly and 1 Quarterly).
The copy intervall is one day. I have enabled the option to copy the full backup from the source repository.
All the GFS copies are configured for the same day of the week, for example wednesday.

All the days of the week the job runs fine except on tuesday! It will do a full backup copy from source! One day befor the planned day.
The next day (wednesday) is does the planned full backup copy again.

So every copy job copies two full backups per week.

Can enyone help me getting this to only one full backup?

This is a known issue, but I cannot remember whether it was fixed in one of the recent updates, need to check.

We have V9.5 Update 2 running.

I hope you can find a fix for that.

no workaround for 9.5?
It is really a big problem for our customer because of huge VMs and a small time frame.

What time the copy interval starts at and GFS full creation is scheduled at?

We have multiple Jobs and all the Jobs have the same problem.
One Job for example:
The source Backup Job is running at 6pm.
The Copy Job is scheduled every one day at 6:10pm.
The active full copy's are planned at monday 6:10pm for the weekly intervall.
The monthly and quaterly intervalls are set to last monday.

The other jobs are running at different times and weekdays. But the unlaying schema is the same.

Try to move the weekly restore point time creation to 06:15.

After applying update 3 I get the problem back again.
The active full copy runs now twice a week. On the right day and on one day befor.
What has changed to the Backup Copy logic? And what do I have to change?
Do I have to change the restore point creation time again?
