I'm looking for ideas here, this is driving me crazy.
I have a job set to run periodically every 8 hours from 6am - 10pm
But with this setting the job actually runs at 6am, 8am, 8:30am and 4pm
I have changed it to run every 12 hours from 4am to 6pm
But with this setting it runs at 4am and 12 midday
Am I missing something here?
Should I abandon this and go to scripted job runs via the task scheduler in Windows?
I've never been able to get periodic scheduled to do what I think they are supposed to do. Eternally grateful if someone can shed light on this.
Thanks

Re: V9.5 scheduling - jobs will not run at the correct time
Sounds unusual, perhaps a few screenshots of your scheduling and advanced scheduled would be useful. Did you create a support case already?

Re: V9.5 scheduling - jobs will not run at the correct time
No I have not logged a job yet.
But I have decided to run the job via scripts, I can set the job to run whenever I want.
I have disabled the schedule and instead load the job from a script with task scheduler at my preferred times.
Thanks

Re: V9.5 scheduling - jobs will not run at the correct time
I think this happens because for periodic schedule the reference is midnight and time intervals are defined, based on it (more info here). So, to guarantee the desired schedule you will have to set backup window accordingly. Thanks.
