Hi Anton and welcome to the community!
There is no limitation from the product perspective on the size or count of VMs in a single job.
Please read this post with the best practices of managing backup jobs. Thanks!

Re: The maximum size and number of virtual machines in one job
@DGrinev I know this a post from over 2yrs ago but I wanted to see if this still applies today. We are running Veeam backup & Replication 9.5 U4. Our environment is growing significantly and we are now having backup jobs that reaching over a 100 VMs. These are not per-VM backup jobs. In the link you posted above this was the recommendation "As a general "best practice" it's recommended that jobs should not exceed 50VMs, and the normal recommendation is 20-30 VMs per job". I was wondering if this still should apply to 9.5 U4. If not, what is the recommended VM per job limit for 9.5 U4?

Re: The maximum size and number of virtual machines in one job
There has not been a change in the job size limitations using the traditional backup file and Veeam Backup and Replication v9.5U4.
You should consider moving to the per-VM style backup as it allows for larger jobs and the potential for faster job processing.

Re: The maximum size and number of virtual machines in one job
Hi Leo,
It depends not only on the amount of VMs in the job, but the size of VMs also has a huge impact on the backup and restore processes.
It's highly recommended to use per-VM repositories as was said by Joe.
The QA team said it's about 500 VMs that can be handled normally by a single backup job in per-VM mode.
Thanks!
