in your document about virtual disk restore said :

you can restore it from the image-based backup to any point in time. The restored virtual disk can be attached to the original VM to replace a corrupted drive, or connected to any other VM what is your means about this part " or connected to any other VM "

is that your means that i can get backup from vm1- disk2 and attached that to vm2-disk2 ?

Correct. At the 3rd step in the wizard, in the disk mapping part, you can select the VM (in your example VM2) where you want to restore that disk
