Reporting of backup jobs to SCOM console

Our customer is using both Veeam B&R v5 and nWorks Management Pack for SCOM. I would like to have some graphical reports of backup status in the SCOM console. For example a traffic light which is green if all backup jobs succeded.
Sending a daily report by email might result in ignoring/not noticing failed backup jobs by IT-staff after getting succeeded jobs for a long time.

Any idea how this can be done?

Yep, we have this feature request logged for ages... and SCOM MP team has been promising this for a while, but never had resources available. You should cross post this in their forum, and see what Mr. King has to say

On a second thought, we do log Windows Event Log events starting v5, so you may try to build something yourself as a temp solution (if you know SCOM well enough).

You can also build a web dashboard in SCOM using the URL of the Veeam Backup Enterprise Management Console

Thanks for the replies. My co-worker is familiar with SCOM and told me a management pack combined with Savision Live Maps of Visio 2010 could do the job. Going to try some things.
