Curious on storage reporting

Post by stuflicka »

Fairly new to Veeam and curious how I can get multiple storage reports from the cloud console. Basically instead of all the compressed/deduped amounts I want native and protected (non compressed) values. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Can you please clarify what cloud console you refer to? If you would like to see source VMs size, then we have tools like Veeam ONE that is able to deliver that via its predefined reports.

Thanks!

Hello Vitaliy,

stuflicka is my colleague. What we want is a report showing the non-compressed sizes of the VM's being backed up to our Cloud Connect repository. Which predefined report on Veeam ONE would show that info?

Thanks.

Hello Paul,

You can use this report scoped to a virtual infrastructure object or a Business View group to show all VM related info or this one which shows the same info but for all VMs.

Thank you!

Hello Vitaliy,

Thanks for your input. It appears that the reports you have mentioned need to be generated from the Veeam client where the end-user's infrastructure resides. What we are actually looking for is a report that we can generate from the Service Provider side that will show the source VM size (uncompressed size) for VM's our customers have uploaded to our Veeam Cloud Connect repository.

Looking forward to your feedback.

Thank you.

Yes, in order to use these reports you need to have access to source infrastructure, since this is the place where data is retrieved from (private data). Querying customers data from the remote site is not possible unless you have remote access to the infrastructure.

Can you clarify the scenario you're after?
