Incremental and Active full backups

Post by chrmol »

Hi.
We are running Incremental with active full backup every Friday - but because our target storage is only allowing us to keep 3 weeks of backup doing this backup method, we are in a situation where we either should buy more disk space or change the behaviour of the backup job.

What comes to my mind is changing to Active Full "Monthly" - but my concern are if something get corrupted doing a "chain" that long, then I’ll lose a lot of backups!

But what are the odds - how much effort is in the "integrity checks”?

Hi, if you test every backup with SureBackup, then you can be sure you will be able to recover from each and every restore point you have if needed. Thanks.

But my question was more about how much I should rely on the integrity test. - Should i consider it bulletproof :-) ?
