VSS, Exchange, transaction logs, job reporting

Post by Frosty »

I use Veeam v5.0 to back up our Exchange 2007 SP3 server. I have ticked the box "Enable application-aware image processing" so that it uses Microsoft VSS. What I am looking for is confirmation that the Exchange database is being checkpointed and the transaction logs pruned on a successful backup. I can't find anywhere in the Veeam software that reports on this. So I have to go looking on the Exchange server each day. Is it possible for Veeam to report on this?

If the VSS Writers fail or any of the process fails, that will be noted in the html report and real-time statistics.

Oh, OK ... I guess I can stop worrying about that then!
