Virtual Appliance VM using Hot-add and two vCenters?

I have two vCenter VMs running with eight ESXi hosts.

I am running Veeam Virtual Appliance in vC02. When backing up VMs in vC02, hot-add works. When trying to backup VMs in vC01 I get: BackupDiskFull failed / End of file.

Do I need to run a unique Veeam VM per vCenter use the hot-add functionality?

Hello Matt,

Yes, Virtual Appliance mode works within a vCenter Server where Veeam backup console has been registered. If you want to use this mode for another vCenter Server then you should deploy a secondary Veeam backup server.

Then you'd have to manage two (or more) Veeam Proxy servers and their backup jobs. Right?

Yes, but you can install Enterprise Manager and manage those serves from the single console.
