vbar11 and vagent stop working after windows update

hello and thanks,

Case #04692219

laptop is using win.20h2, with vbar11 and vagent5, was working great
then just now there was a windows update.

--- KB2267602
--- KB4589212
--- KB890830

after the reboot, vagent states that "service suddenly stop working"
in event log, under veeam agent, there is nothing about that.
in the event log, under application log, there is this:
i reboot three times, so far, no change.

please remember that the forum is run by product management and not by support. It makes no sense to open a case and write on the forums, too. It doesn't make case handling faster ;-)

i spent over a week working with a level 1 tech, sent three sets of logs.
but was not able to resolve the problem.
no complaints as i am a community user.

in the end, i got vagent working again.
1. set 'log on as' from local system account to local administrator
2. start service
3. stop service
4. set 'log on as' back to local system account.
5. start service
6. be happy

hope this might help other users.

about the account,
veeam agent stopped working, i contacted tech support, worked with support for a week, still not working.
during that time, i did not change the account of the service.
after that week, i started to try to figure it out for myself.

Yup, I was referring to the service account - it's required to run in under local system. Thanks for the heads up!
