Two Starwind nodes in HA-mode (10Gig sync). SSDs in node1, SAS in node 2 (fixed paths to node1, with node2 as backup)
20 SSD's and 32 SAS-drives. So no big environment.

Re: What is the PRODUCTION storage for your virtual environm
We have used a variety of storage vendors, EMC, EqualLogic, and homebrew Open-e, but our current selection is Nimble. The performance is amazing, easily 5 times faster than any of the other systems. These guys have something really special.

in Germany we have many customers with IBM San Volume Controller SVC implementations.
Mostly used to build a 2 DR site active active Cluster with vdisk active-active mirroring.
As disk storage behind the SVC: IBM DS, HP EVA, Hitachi...

Re: What is the PRODUCTION storage for your virtual environm
Small customers and branch offices uses often Blade Technology with integrated shared Storage like:
IBM BladeCenter S (I implemented a lot of them with VMware in the field)
and some Systems based on a Intel Storage Server Balde concept for example Lynx CALLEO Datacenter Server 6049 from our partner transtec.
