Warning while adding worker configuration

Post by sumeet »

Hello,

Need help. I'm setting up Veeam backup for google for the first time.
While setting up the worker, the run verification checks is ok for the first three, but gives warning for private service access.
I have pasted below what I see.

Google Private Access is enabled: OK
Port 443 for HTTPS traffic is open: OK
System-generated default route is enabled: OK
Private services access is enabled: Warning: The Worker VM must be connected to a VPC which has private connection enabled, or SQL backup and restore operations may fail.

Google private access and peering across projects has been setup.
I'm not sure what private service access is?

Any pointers or reference will help.
I have a dedicated project for the production VM instances and SQL. And a separate project for VB for Google appliance and worker.

Thanks,
-Sumeet.

Hi Sumeet

Private Service Access is explained here:
https://cloud.google.com/vpc/docs/priva ... ces-access

We require Private Service Access for the optional staging server in Cloud SQL Instance Backup jobs.
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbgc/ ... ing&ver=40
