Veeam Intelligent Diagnostics (VID) is a feature that automatically detects known issues in the configuration and performance of backup infrastructure.
This thread will be used for tracking VID signature updates.

Follow this link to get information on how to update VID signatures.

Veeam Intelligent Diagnostics packages are cumulative and include previously released packages.

The issue is caused by a malfunction in the stored procedure responsible for selecting restore points for processing in the backup copy job.

VID660968 Backup or backup copy job failed to complete with "Item [] is locked by running session"
The issue is caused by orphaned auxiliary sessions (for example, a transaction log removal session) that silently failed on the previous job run because of an invalid response received from the target object storage repository.

VID660970 Editing object storage repository settings results in "SignatureDoesNotMatch"
The issue is caused by a redundant header in the HTTP requests used in Veeam Backup & Replication for interaction with S3 API.

VID660973 Configuration backup failed to complete with "Configuration database is corrupted"
The issue is caused by corrupted records in the Tenants. The tokens table may have been corrupted during preceding configuration database migration.

The issue is caused by a malfunction allowing an unauthenticated attacker to log in to the Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager web interface as any user.

VID711947 Deleting an expired immutability blob fails with "This operation is not permitted as the blob is immutable due to a policy." on Azure Data Box object storage repository
The problem is caused by Azure-specific behavior that requires a delete request to be made without a version in order to delete the current version of the blob. The same approach was used for previous versions but the request fails as it references the current version's immutability.

VID711950 New tapes cannot be read or erased
Block size of the new tape is not detected properly causing the tape to be unreadable without an option to erase.

The issue seem to be caused by retries not triggering when required, resulting in an error.

Time-out setting for the "dropstoppedoldjobsessionsinbatch" stored procedure is set to low in order to allow it to finish, resulting in cascading delays.

VID733290 Backups list not displayed in Veeam Backup & Replication Console
Issue is caused by MSSQL version of the ReportBackupOverviewView stored procedure which may work very slowly on larger databases.

VID733292 Invalid LeaseID values in TrackedActionsToLeases table
VBR may generate leases with a null ID that can become associated with a tracked action created in the job. The null ID lease cannot then be removed due to the 'Unique identifier is invalid.' exception.

VID733293 File to tape job fails with "Current file ... and backed up file ... are different" error
Issue is caused by multiple messages being sent about one file during processing resulting in a critical error.

VID733295 CDP long term restore points creation failure
Veeam Backup & Replication cannot find the replica using an old reference on the infrastructure, so a new one is created resulting in a mismatch with information present in the database.

The error is caused by the source share, from which the files were initially written to the tape, not being found in the infrastructure.

This error can occur when CVbLogStorageSourcePrepareCtx.ResourceTaskId is overwritten while handling new resources, leading to the incorrect, unscheduled taskId being used.

False positive notifications of potential malware activity due to onion link detection
The error occurs as a result of swap file exclusion operation. Certain disk blocks with parts of the pagefile.sys file are copied to the target even if the 'Exclude swap file blocks' option is selected. Anti-virus signatures originating from the pagefile.sys file may remain in the backup due to this behavior and are interpreted as potential malware activity.

During the tape job session, checks are performed to determine the current encryption state of the backup and if the latest full storage doesn't have storage keys, the logic incorrectly assumes that the backup is not encrypted causing a failure for subsequent actions.

Backup to tape job fails with "Job has failed. See log file ... for details" after update to 12.1.2
Faulty tape backup logic causes an unneeded backup to tape job retry with 0 bytes processed.

Backup job targeting a cloud repository fails with "There is no FIB [summary.xml] in the specified restore point"
A network connection drop in the service provider's infrastructure between the Veeam Cloud Connect server and the Cloud Gateway may cause a tenant's  job targeting a cloud repository to fail.

Direct backup to object storage fails with "The given key was not present in the dictionary"
The issue is caused by a job not being able to lock the backup files if a background retention job already has them locked. The background retention job should not have a priority lock on the storage and should allow the backup job to continue without errors.
