Also tried Dell T340 server, same "An unknown error has occurred". Downloaded a fresh ISO, still no go.ken.tyrrell wrote: ↑Nov 12, 2024 6:36 pm Attempted install on Lenovo System x3650 M5 with 0.1.17 ISO

Hello Ken,
thanks for reporting the issues. I can see that the x3650M5 and Dell 5810 is not on the Red Hat HCL. That means the systems are technically unsupported, but we still like to look into it because it looks strange that you have that on three systems (the T340 is on the Hardware Compatibility List).
Does a normal Rocky installation work fine?
Best regards
Hannes

Ubuntu works: Following these instructions was successful on the Lenovo System x3650 and Dell T340.

Hello,
the main question is, whether Rocky 9 works.
Thanks for providing fresh logs. As I read through the case... if you cannot format anything with any tool anymore, then I can recommend dd on Windows. I used dd some months ago to get my USB sticks working again when we investigated USB stick issues back in the time. To be fair, the issues back then were a bit different, and only sounded similar.
Best regards

for future readers: the issue was solved by switching Rufus to "dd image mode" to burn the ISO to the USB stick
