No mail notification after warning
Hi all,
I am currently facing the issue that I do not receive a notification via mail for the one job that finishes with a warning unless I untick the "suppress notifications until the last retry" setting. Is this expected behaviour?
EDIT: I am running Version 8.0.5.20.

Hi Christian,
That's expected. If your job is set up with multiple retry attempts and you choose to suppress notifications until the final retry, you will receive a single notification showing the job's status after the last retry attempt. I.e. if the first run of the job has been completed with a warning and on the subsequent retries this warning has been resolved, you will get a notification with the Success status of the job.

Hi Polina,
thanks for clarifying that! I will stick with leaving the checkbox unticked, though. I prefer being warned or notified every time instead of wondering whether the job has gotten stuck somewhere in the process.

I'm facing a similar issue after upgrading VBM365 to 8.1.0.331 only for Exchange jobs (After getting 3 VBM365 servers affected, I've stopped upgrading other VBM365 servers)
Notify on last retry is checked but Veeam does not send notification on last retry only
If this option is unchecked Veeam does send notifications for intermediate runs but not the last retry
Case #03520158 opened on Feb 24 (I was then instructed to try to uncheck with above result)
Lastly I've upgraded to 8.1.0.3503 with no great success
One of the 3 servers notifies again but the 2 others aren't !?
Behavior reported to the case but Veeam support is still silent since

I believe 03520158 is your contract number, while the case ID is 07613245, correct?
Can you confirm that for jobs with other types of objects, like OneDrive or SharePoint, notifications are sent as expected?

I am having the same issue. My workaround is to uncheck the "supress until last retry" checkbox in notifications menu.
Now i am getting a lot more mails than before but at least i am getting those mails.
