PVE workers warning

Post by mr-manuel »

Is it possible to somehow disable the warning "There are no available workers in the cluster pve02. Performance may be affected; Job finished with warning at 6/4/2025 10:15:45 PM"?

I have a two node PVE cluster, but the backup storage is only available on node 1, so I only have deployed one worker there. This means a worker on node 2 cannot access the backup storage for different limitations.

Hi Manuel,

What is the target storage you are using, which I believe you refer to as "Backup Storage"?

Additionally, you mention an error regarding the non-availability of workers, but also refer to a "worker on node 2."
Could you please clarify this in more detail?

Thanks for the fast response.

Yesterday I thought to much about that the PVE node 2 has no connection to the backup storage that I totally forgot that it's not even needed.

Veeam PVE worker -> Backup repository gateway server (in my case the Veeam B&R server) -> Backup repository (NAS connected only to the Veeam B&R server)

So there is no need that a worker on PVE node 2 has to access directly the backup repository. After deploying the Veeam PVE worker on the PVE node 2 everything works fine.
