Case reference #07701529
Hi all,
As suggested by the Veeam support, I'd like to insert a new feature request to enable the allignment of the SSL certificate change of a backup application from the VBO to Azure, using the wizard mentioned in the documentation below:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... ertificate
I tested that changing the SSL certificate through this wizard only instructs the VBO to begins to use the new one, leaving the Backup Application on Azure with just the old SSL certificate configured, causing a mismatch and errors in the backups.
This require a manual intervention on the Azure side, but sometimes is not possible for the operators that only work with the VBO.
Thanks.

Re: Feature request: Manage SSL certificate of an additional backup application in Veeam also in Azure
Hi Matteo
Thanks for the feedback and request. I'll forward it to the team.
May I ask, are you using multiple application for incremental backup jobs or just for the initial backup?
Our teams collaborated with Microsofts on the usage of multiple applications. The general recommendation is to use multiple backup applications only during the initial backup. Incremental backups should be done by the default backup application. For the default backup application, VB365 can upload a new certificate for sure.
Best,
Fabian

Re: Feature request: Manage SSL certificate of an additional backup application in Veeam also in Azure
Hi Fabian,
Thanks for the quick answer and to added me to the Service Provider user group
Working with the current Customer, we're still in an initial configuration/testing phase; anyway we already planned to use multiple backup applications at least for the initial massive backup when a large number of objects will be started to protect massively.
We already reviewed the doc you linked me. It's probable that after the initial backup the Customer will remove any additional backup applications to continue with the incrementals, since we are only talking about 1200/1250 users, so they're not so many to justify a different choiche, IMHO.
Thanks again!
