[Feature request]Identifying the cause of VME rescan failure

Post by yumi.tazawa »

In a VME environment where Veeam backups are being performed using the VME plugin, if there are VMs that failed to migrate using the VME standard migration tool (Bulk Migration), the VME Manager Rescan fails with the following message.

Code: Select all

2026/04/21 12:32:39 Succeeded : Scanning HPE Morpheus VME XXXX...
2026/04/21 12:32:39 Succeeded : Successfully scanned the clusters registered with the HPE VME manager XXXX: discovered clusters: 2, new clusters: 0, updated clusters: 0, removed clusters: 0
2026/04/21 12:32:40 Failed : Failed to scan VMs: Error occured while deserializing the response (0:00:01)
2026/04/21 12:32:40 Succeeded : Finished scanning HPE Morpheus VME XXXX
Support has responded that they cannot determine which VM is causing the rescan failure. Therefore, we would like to request that this be improved so that it can be identified from the Veeam console or logs.

Veeam Backup & Replication 13.0.1
Veeam Plug-in for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials 13.1.0.271
HPE Morpheus VM Essentials 8.0.13
