Agent modifications to OS not cleaned up properly on uninstall

Post by jeronimo »

Hey there,

Support sent me here, apparently it's a feature request.. Case # 08095103

Long story short: if you install the management agent components (Linux) it opens up ports in firewalld.
Whereas it you uninstall those packages again, only part of these ports are closed.
IMHO uninstall should undo those port openings.
I understand that for example userid has to remain as there are logs etc which obviously are not purged by any uninstall. However why wouldn't firewall rules be purged?

Thanks

PS. Not sure how Windows agents behave exactly but there are no "management agents" there AFAIK as Windows integration works differently.

Hello,

I clarified internally: it is a known issue and will be fixed in the next versions. I can't provide you with any ETAS at this point, though.
