do you maybe have support cases where we can see the impact that you mention? What size are we talking about? 10k, 20k, 50k, 100k workloads pointing to what object storage? How many PBs?

Instead of adding complexity, I would try to change the product in a way that that the impact goes away without adding more gateway options. In general, restores are prioritized over backups. If the total resources are not enough, then backups might suffer. By adding more resources, that problem should be solved (same as if we would add dedicated restore gateways).

No support case as this is not a problem. Here is the best place to request feature. Am I wrong?

We have 350 Azure Storage accounts mapped as repository. 200 Jobs. 22PB of data.

But our main problem is: Because of firewall we have to have some gateway running in different Azure subscriptions and that gateway can´t be used a gateway during restore operations due to firewall limitations. If we have a option to have a dedicated gateway to restore I can put this gateway in the best subscription I have in terms of backup/restore and use it.

yes, the R&D forums are a good place to request new features and we from Product Management will always try to understand what problem should be solved before we tell a developer to implement a new feature.

Networking / firewalls / costs are the reason and it makes some sense to me and I can create an internal feature request and see how many other customers ask for it. So far I can say, that nobody else asked such a feature and the complexity seems very high because all restore operations would have to "learn" that there is a dedicated restore gateway option. Probably it will be faster to investigate alternative options with your network team and Veeam Solutions Architect.
