[Feature Request] Restore Portal Advanced Search & Item Limitation

Post by ovml »

Hello,

I would like to request a new feature for the Restore Portal.
See case: #07959633

We need an "Advanced Filter" to filter the items in the Restore Portal without limitation (500 items) or a role which inherits the rights to see/filter ALL the items in the Restore Portal.
The customer was formerly using the Veeam M365 Backup on Prem and is now limited.

With kind regards,

OVML

Hi,

The request is noted.

However, may I ask about a use case which requires over 500 search results? What would be the purpose of such a search?

Thanks!

Hi Polina,

The customer want´s to search in ALL of his results and don´t want to be limited to only "some results".
Once our customer was using Veeam himself and was used to see all the results.
Therefore he want´s to have the same feature in the Restore Portal as well.
And he don´t want to raise a ticket (to our service) every time he is searching for entries/users...

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi OVML,

The capabiltities your customer is looking for soon are going to be available in VDC M365, but it's not likely that anything similar will ever make it to VB365 and its Restore Portal. Efficient search across all protected data is impossible without an indexing system which is not foreseen for VB365 atm.

Thanks!
