Hi everyone,
is there a way to provide access to a Veeam backup repository through the proxy appliance during a DataLab test?
The use case is the following:
A customer restores a prepared VM as part of a DataLab test. The VM is running Oracle Linux 9.x. Within this isolated environment, the customer would like to access a backup repository containing Oracle RMAN backups in order to perform a database restore.
Is it possible to configure outbound connectivity from the DataLab environment to the backup repository — and potentially also to the backup server — so that the VM can read and restore the Oracle RMAN backups?
Thank you in advance,
Christian

Re: Access to production backup repository during DataLab test
In my opinion, that's not possible.
The Virtual Lab is intentionally separated from the production environment. After all, we don't want to cause any damage to the production environment.
Incoming connections to the lab are possible via masquerading/NAT, but outgoing connections are intentionally blocked for the most part or entirely.
