Archive tier proxy appliance custom tags
Dear,
I would like to configure custom tags on proxy appliance used to transfer data between S3 and Glacier. We use those tags heavily to properly allocate costs to respective entities. Is is somehow possible to create our own tags? Via registry as I do not see possibility to assign those tags via Veeam console. If it is not possible now - then maybe in next version?

Re: Archive tier proxy appliance custom tags
Am I getting this correct that you want to have a way to tag AWS entities created by backup server, including archive tier proxy appliance, so that you can provide a billing information on resource consumption? Currently, it is not possible neither via GUI nor via registry key, but I'm asking to understand the use case better. Thanks!

Re: Archive tier proxy appliance custom tags
Hello Team,
We are evaluating the use of Archive Tier on AWS with Veeam Backup & Replication v13.
Our AWS environment enforces mandatory EC2 tags through IAM policies and governance controls. During Archive Tier operations, Veeam creates a temporary Helper/Archiver Appliance EC2 instance, and we would like to know if there is any supported way to customize the tags assigned to this appliance at deployment time.
Specifically:
Can custom EC2 tags be configured for the Helper/Archiver Appliance?
Is there any registry setting, PowerShell configuration, or undocumented option available for this purpose?
Are there any plans to support custom tags in a future release?
Our goal is to ensure that the temporary EC2 instance complies with our organization's mandatory tagging requirements.
Thank you in advance for any guidance.
Best regards,
Claudio Hipolito
