Encryption password about veeam configuration backup

I have a question about the encryption password for veeam configuration backups.

Does veeam configuration backup have no policy of encrypted passwords?

I'm looking up the password policy for encrypted passwords, but I can't find any information.
So I try setting password with only one character, and it was set without any warnings.

Please teach me about this question.

Hi hiroroku, welcome to the forums.

Encryption passwords do not have a strict enforcement, but there are warnings and notices for encryption passwords that are too short, as well as a hard block for including parts or all of the password in the description.

When I set a password with only one character, I received a warning about the short length.
The recommended password complexity I found the following information.
I tried using this information as my password, no errors were displayed.

-At least 12 characters in length
-At least 1 uppercase letter
-At least 1 lowercase letter
-At least 1 number
-At least 1 special character

Yes, off the top of my head, I do not recall all of the checks, but I believe this field is only checking the length of the password and whether or not the hint field includes the password.

I will adjust my previous post as for encryption passwords we currently do not enforce the complexity requirements there like we enforce them for credentials on v13.
