Update for MP 6.0 Integration Pack released

Greetings all,

We've released an update for our Veeam MP for VMware v6.0. This update fixes a couple of issues with the Integration MP (one of the MPs in the v6 bundle).

This update fixes a couple of minor, but still important issues, in MP 6.0 -

1. Create VM-contains-Ops Mgr Agent relationship. This relationship is important to give full drill-down capabilities into applications running in VMs, and populates Ops Mgr agent data in topology views and VM dashboards. The script response which creates the relationships could time out in large environments, this is addressed in this update.

2. Maintenance Mode tracker. The Veeam MP will track vCenter maintenance mode for Hosts, and keep the Hosts in Ops Mgr maintenance mode for the same duration. However in some circumstances Ops Mgr agents which run inside VMs could be put in maintenance mode too, which is not desired. Update fixes this issue.

Hey Alec,

Is this update receommended for SCOM 2012 non SP1 as well? We are currently bulding 2012 and do not have SP1 yet applied, but plan to over the next few weeks. Would it be ok that I apply that now or wait until we are on SP1?

I would recommend to apply this update anyway, besides fixing some issues for SP1 it has some general performance improvements.

If we host the enterprise manager role on a server other than a collector do I need to run the MP v6.0.0.1423 update on it as well? The guide just mentions the collectors needing the patch so I am inclined to believe that it does not, but just wanted to clarify.

Hi Keith,

Correct - You only need to install the patch on servers with the Collector role. No need to patch enterprise manager or UI.
