Okay to restart VM during Transformation process?

We needed to reboot one of our VMs this weekend but waited on the transformation to complete before doing it. The transformation took 35 hours to complete. Does the transformation process actually touch the VM during this or is it just using the backup files on our storage device?

I'm almost sure the VM is untouched after the backup part of the job is completed. You can check in the backup log if the VM snapshot is committed, I rarely use transform jobs so I have no logs to check when the commit happens.

Transformation is performed on the repository (or the proxying server in case of CIFS repo) and does not affect the VM itself in any way.

Moreover, the transformation step takes place after the snapshot has been already committed. So, no issues with it, either. Thanks.
