Data API, Instant Disk Recovery and vCloud backups

Post by bbanaszynski »

All,

Is it possible to perform an instant disk recovery on a VM/disk contained in a vCD backup job? Specifically, we're attempting to use the Data API powershell module Publish-VBRBackupContent. We receive an error saying the backup type is not supported. Is there any workaround or alternative way to present vcd backup job disks so we can perform some action on the file contained within the backup?

Case # 04704857

Thank you

Hello,

I moved this topic to the PowerShell forum, as this does not seem to be related to REST.

Are you using V10 still? Because V11 should be able to do this.

Thanks!

Gostev,

Thank you for moving this to the appropriate section.

I suppose I left out some critical information. Yes, we are still using v10. If this functionality has been addressed in v11, I will upgrade our test environment and validate there.

Thank you very much.

Yes, this enhancement is documented in the Data Integration API section of the What's New in V11 document. You should check out the entire document when you get a chance, lots of good stuff there! Thanks.
