Export guest file serach result

Post by rickysimons »

Hi,

Is it possible to export the search results from a guest file search within Enterprise Manager?

Neither GUI, nor PowerShell allows you to do that. However, I think it might be possible to write a code based on RESTful API that would allow you to to browse guest OS file system to sort out different restore points of a given VM, browse guest OS file system, and find place where this or that particular file is present.

Check first eleven steps of this procedure.

Thanks.

Hi,

why Restful API? I think a button "export->CSV" in EM or a cmdlet with this function will be fine. We are admins not SW-Developer.

Thanks
