Physical VBR host with local SQL Express VBR Database.
There was no Enterprise Manager installed.
Did a fresh install of Enterprise Manager for ISO 12.0.0.1420_20230413. This automatically installed PostgreSQL for the EM database.
Now want to migrate VBR MS SQL to Postgres.
Powershell: Set-VBRPSQLDatabaseServerLimits
First try was done with a MFA-enable Veeam Account: this gave a error.
Second try with non-MFA-enabled VBR Account this give the error:
PS C:\Users\sa_veeam> Set-VBRPSQLDatabaseServerLimits
Set-VBRPSQLDatabaseServerLimits : Unable to automatically configure remote PostgreSQL database on host <name of the locahost>
At line:1 char:1
+ Set-VBRPSQLDatabaseServerLimits
+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+ CategoryInfo : NotSpecified: (:) [Set-VBRPSQLDatabaseServerLimits], Exception
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : System.Exception,Veeam.Backup.PowerShell.Cmdlets.SetVBRPSQLDatabaseServerLimits
Any suggestions? Otherwise I will create a ticket.

Re: Set-VBRPSQLDatabaseServerLimits : Unable to automatically configure remote PostgreSQL database on host
Or do I first have to retore the database to Postgres and afterwards doing the Set-VBRPSQLDatabaseServerLimits?

Hello Dali
Yes, please migrate the database first.
Let me know if the command works after that.
Best,
Fabian

Yep, you first have to migrate the database.
But please, note the correct order in the manuals.
Also that you cannot migrate or run the cmdlet with MFA enabled.
And also that many times (read it more times) the connection with the hostname does not work, just fill in 127.0.0.1 in that case.

Thanks for the update.
Will talk to the user guide team what we can do about.wrote:But please, note the correct order in the manuals.
Our Powershell module requires a user without MFA.Also that you cannot migrate or run the cmdlet with MFA enabled.
We are aware of it. I wrote a summary about the issue in our user community. It all depends on how you have configured the authentification settings on your PostgreSQL server. Our product doesn‘t configure those settings for you for a manually installed PostgreSQL server. And also that many times (read it more times) the connection with the hostname does not work, just fill in 127.0.0.1 in that case.
