Our current script uses an older commandlet which is deprecated. The new commandlets in V10 supports options so we can disable the ping check and just use heartbeat
However, we need to create a new-surebackupvm object by using the get-vbrjobobject. However, get-vbrjobobject can’t see VM’s not explicitly listed in the job, eg if a resource pool is selected in the job, only the resource pool is visible. We are looking to only verify a small amount of virtual machines at a time on a Friday. Not the entire prod group
Is there anyway around this?

Re: Surebackup in V10 - Selecting VMs from prod groups
Hello,
SureBackup job accepts two sources (independently from powershell or not):
1) a backup jobs
2) an application group
So the workaround would be to create an application group.
Best regards,
Hannes
