Custom backup reports
We currently have some custom sql queries to generate Veeam backup reports.
I'm looking to replace these using VeeamONE Reporter, however the backup reports available contain very little detail.
I am currently unable to find a way to customise the backup reports to include details such as start time, end time, and time taken.
Is this data available via the reports already and I'm just missing how to add it to the existing template?
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Custom backup reports
Hello Steve,
There is no way to customize existing reports, but can you please give me a bit more info on what kind of reports you're currently trying to generate querying the database directly?
On a side note, I would suggest you to try our Veeam ONE v7, that is going to be available very soon. This version contains about 20 reports for Veeam backup infrastructure, so I'm pretty sure you will find almost all information you need in these pre-defined reports.
Thank you!

Re: Custom backup reports
Thanks for the quick reply!
Current sql report has the following extra information:-
Summary:-
Start of first backup
End of last backup
Per Server:-
Start time, end time, duration, size, average speed.
All that information is pulled directly from the sql Veeam backup server database and tweaked slightly to make it more readable.... so hopefully it's not too much work to incorporate all the information.
I'll keep an eye out for v7 - do you have a rough release date ?

Re: Custom backup reports
Hi there, I've just installed v7 of Veeam One Reporting, and can find zero backup related reports.
In the "configuration -> extension modules" menu (which notably is too large for the screen and unable to scroll), I see "Veeam Backup & Replication" version 2 report pack, but there are no reports and nothing relating to backups in the workspace or custom reporting sections.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Custom backup reports
Have you added Veeam Backup & Replication server to the Veeam ONE Monitor Client? All reports should become visible once you add the corresponding platform to Veeam ONE. If you still do not see any reports, then please contact our support team for further assistance.

Re: Custom backup reports
Excellent diagnosis - I wasn't aware the backup and rep server needed to be added to the Monitor client.
Many thanks for your speedy response!

Re: Custom backup reports
I have the same problem right now. veeam one reporter reports are useless and support has recommended that I engage professional services, all i'm trying to do is generate a weekly report of what has been saved to tape so i can have a count of tapes to send offsite.

Hello Wil,
Topic is 5 years old now. From that time such features as Backup Infrastructure Custom Data and Report Builder which addressed OP's request.
As for the tapes, have you checked Tape Backups report?
Thanks!
