Data Change Rate History report missing Hyper-V info

Post by dbeerts »

Hi,

I'm trying to get an insight into the change rate of our backups with the use of Veeam ONE. I'm using the report 'Data Change Rate History':
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/one/r ... ml?ver=120

After some first tests, it turned out to be mandatory to add the Virtual Infrastructures to Veeam ONE to get a complete overview. So I added some vCenters and created a new report which now contained the information I was looking for.
Next I tried the same for Hyper-V, added SCVMM and created a new report. Unfortunately it's still missing data for the Hyper-V VMs.

Am I missing something? Does it need extra configuration to have Hyper-V VMs included in the report?

Is connection to SCVMM only not enough to gather this data? Is it mandatory to open ports (135, 445, RPC) to all Hyper-V hosts to gather this info?

Hello DBeerts,

vCenters provides API for all topology under it, the same with ESXi hosts. While SCVMM works differently, there is data to organize a container but no access to the host and the VM data. To get it we use remote WMI, remote registry and RPC are required.
Check in the Monitor UI the topology tree of your VMs. Do you see them there? Do they look healthy?

Thanks
