Illogical information in VeeamOne's "VM Uptime" report
Hello all,
I have a issue with the VeeamOne report "VMs Uptime" , I find that the information reported by this last is not perlining.
I give you an example : I have a VM on my Vmware that has restarted several times during the week and here below is the result of the report that I find illogical.
Interval Number of Restarts Downtime Uptime (%)
Past Month 0 00:12:00 99,96 %
Past Week 8 5 days 00:32:00 28,25 %
Past Day 3 14:56:00 37,78%
I remeber that the number of restart per month is 0 while it is wrong. So, my VM was UP: from where he brings back the Downtime ?
I would like to understand how VeeamONE calculates the Uptime and reboot number, what exactly is it based on?
I specify that the VM is well monitored by VeeamONE regularly and without copure (all the events are there).
FYI : there were no redo alerts for this VM even though the restart events are displayed (even though the "VM Reseting" alert is enabled).
thank you in advance for your help.

Hello Hadjer and welcome to the community!
What product version are you at? Uptime logic was upgraded from version to version.
By the way, the fastest way to find out the issue is to contact tech support. Have you contacted them?
Thanks!

Re: Illogical information in VeeamOne's "VM Uptime" report
In the latest version, report uses VM heartbeat metrics for the uptime calculation, which is collected from vSphere.
Restarts are counted based on corresponding events, alarms have their own triggers.
I've not understood what exactly works wrong.
Once you have a support case number, please post it here.

Hello,
what does not work properly are the data displayed on the report, number of restart for example: o past month, 8 past week and 3 past day when it is not logical the machine has restarted at least 8 times this last month what is indicated in the events.
My support case number : 03360732
Thanks

That sounds like a bug. Since the behavior is not expected it's better to keep working with the support team.
