Simple Report not possible

Post by mdaemmerling »

Hello,

I actually have a simple requirement which I cannot implement at the moment.
For our system I need a simple table for billing, in which CPU, RAM, provisioned hard disk space, OS and a user-defined category is displayed.
I know the report for billing, but the OS is not included and the VM's are separated into VMWare and Hyper-V. In addition, there are costs listed, I don't need that.
With other reports either the OS or the disk space is missing.
Is there a way to create such a report?

Hello Michael,
There is a number of Chargeback for variety of billing logics, including cpu, memory and disk consumption.
However OS is not taken into account yet.
I'll add the request to the roadmap.
Could you also clarify what you mean by "user-defined category"? What is the use case?
Thanks

Hi,

Sure: The use case was that we have a Category for every Customer.
We add the VM to the Customer with the User defined Category.

I need a simple List:
Customer (user defined Category)| Virtual machine name| vCPU| Memory Size| HDD Size| Guest OS
In Veeam One version 8 or 9 (not 9,5) there was a html surface for Business View and there was exactly the List i need.

I can create such list with cutom report, but only for VMWare, not for Hyper-V.
For Hyper-V there were no Columns for example HDD size....

Thanks for the explanation.
You can still create Business View groups based on vCPU, Memory Size, Guest OS and Virtual disk size for both Hyper-V and vSphere.
Then you can create the chargeback reports for the particular Business View groups choosing them in the report scope and set the desired values.
