Tape Capacity Reports

Am looking for the Summary Report which shows the No of tapes available in each Media pool /GFS pool and in Free Pool on daily basis.
This helps to deposit the Tapes to Library when there is shortage of tapes in any of the pool.

Also is there an way to alert in email when an job is waiting for new scratch tape (If pending for more 1 hrs due to unavailability of free media in library)

Hello Raj,
have you checked Tape Media Retention Period report?
As for the alarm, there is no such an option yet, but the request is taken into account. Wouldn't the job fail if there is no media available?

It gives the generic overall usage tapes only.. But not the tapes which are part of the specific media pool which are available in library.

The report groups the tapes under media pools and show their protection status.
Could you provide the use case and elaborate on the request?

It has the required info but the report is too big to go through everytime. Is that possible to add the Summary of the count/Availability of Tapes in each media pool, Free Tapes count, GFS media pool tape count and the Unrecognized Media count.

This helps to quickly look at the Summary Report and deposit free tapes if required rather than going through the 20-30 pages report and this pages count is going expand in upcoming days.

That's a good request. We will take it into account.
For now you can filter tapes by backup server and tape status.

Not yet. There were no releases from the time you made a request.
