Veeam One support for scale out backup repository ?

Post by DeadEyedJacks »

I've added a new VBR v9 server into Veeam One v9, the Data Protection view shows the Scale Out Repository as inaccessible even though it's not.
Does Veeam One reporting support SOR ?

Hello David, it does, absolutely.
Can you see any SOBR-related information in the Backup Repositories Summary?
What about other repositories?
Thanks!

NB This is looking within the Veeam One Monitor Client | Data Protection View.
Standalone repositories and backing repositories for SOBR all show as accessible and report tabs are populated.
Details on SOBR do show on Veeam One Reporter Web interface

Well, if Veeam ONE reporter collects the info and Monitor partially sees it, there may be a bug.
But once again, when you go to Data Protection View > Backup Repositories > Summary tab, does Veeam ONE count your SOBRs in the "Repository Servers Overview" section?
Thanks!

Yes, it knows there is a SOBR; count 1, but on the left pane it shows as inaccessible and produces an error alarm.

Thanks for the reply.
That`s unexpected behavior, so please contact the technical support team.

Please post your case ID, so that we could follow up it with the devs.

FYI, this issue was resolved by renaming the SOR.

Thanks for the update, David!
Does it mean that some symbols can`t be used in the SOR name or anything else?
Could you provide the support case number for us to get more info?
Thanks!

Name was pure alphanumeric before and after. So don't know why the change resolved the issue. Fortunately, we are still at PoC stage with SOR usage.
