Veeam Reporter Free - Install SQL

Hi,

When installing Reporter Free edition I am told that I have to install SQL EXpress, however I only have 2 GB free on the C:\ - I have 40 GB free on another partition but dont have the option to install it here. Is there a way of specifying the other location in the installer or so I have to install SQL first and then point Reporter at it?

Yes, you may want to install SQL Server first - to a larger partition, and then just point Reporter to it. Thanks!

Hello Ciaran, we found that typically most customers prefer to host Veeam Reporter database on existing SQL server (which is properly maintained and backed up). Essentially, we provide SQL Express merely for evaluation purposes, or small environments... we may enhance this in future (especially if there are many requests - this it the first), but at this time this is not a high priority feature for us.
