Can anyone please explain about the cache and the resetCache parameter for Get Inventory Objects?
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... &t=request
I've got two vcloud director servers, but with 1000+ vm's. When getting all objects using a type=virtualmachine filter it takes with resetCache=true respectively 150 and 310 sec, and with resetCache=false around 7 sec for both. A rather large difference. There are of course advantages querying up to date data but my main question is, how often is this cache refreshed? How does this mechanisme work? Is it once per rest session? Or does Veeam some periodic background refresh? If so, what interval?

Re: Get Inventory Objects resetCache
Hi Alex,
We don't reset cache periodically in this case. The cache is reset manually either by:
- Sending a request with resetCache=true to /api/v1/inventory/{hostname}
- Sending a rescan request to /api/v1/inventory/{hostname}/rescan
Best regards,
Oleg
