[BETA] [HPE] Critical missing setting - enable backup file encryption

Post by dcolpitts »

We backup to rotated RDX cartridges. In the Storage section of a job, inside of Advanced Settings --> Storage is the ability to enable backup file encryption. This is missing with the current VME plugin. It's critical from a security perspective that we have this back as soon as possible.

Hey, with most of the platform services hypervisors, there isn't an option per-job to enable encryption, and it's set on the repository level.
Here's an example from scale computing:

Cool - wasn't aware that setting had changed. I see it now, and I think that will work. Thanks Cody.
