Feature request: Control Disk Provisioning During HPE VM Essentials Restores

Post by JasonOrchardIMNZ »

When restoring a VM to an HPE VM Essentials host, Veeam does not provide an option to select the disk provisioning format (Thin vs Thick) during the restore workflow.

Please add the ability to explicitly choose disk provisioning at restore time, rather than relying on the destination datastore or storage policy defaults. This would provide administrators with greater control and visibility over storage consumption and restore outcomes.

Additionally, clarification in the restore wizard on how disk provisioning is determined would help avoid uncertainty, especially as newer features such as VirtIO driver injection in v13.1 may influence restore behavior.

I don’t see anything in the Storage section of the HPE Morpheus Essentials restore process.

Example completed restore workflow.
