Case-Nr.05031886
Hi there,
I would like to secure a Windows server via agent. To do this, the agent should connect to the NFS proxy server. Unfortunately he tries to reach the proxy server on the wrong IP. The proxy server has two network cards. One in the NFS network, where the backup storage space is also provided via NFS, and one IP in the administration network, where the backup traffic should run for a long time. How do I get the agent to use the management IP from the proxy server?

Re: Agent is using wrong IP from proxy server
Hi Mathias,
I suggest to try preferred network settings in order to make backup to go through the dedicated network, it should do the trick if you manage agents by Veeam B&R.
Thanks!

Hello,
In this case, it would be best to continue working with our support team. I'm sure that our engineers will be able to explain the behavior.
Thanks!

Re: Agent is using wrong IP from proxy server
Hi Mathias,
Is it possible to modify the host name on the agent side to make sure that machine name is resolved to a desired IP address instead? Veeam Agent for Windows configuration and backup job settings are managed by Veeam B&R server or you are using a standalone agent deployment? To clarify, the NFS proxy server in the question is gateway you are using for NFS repository configuration in Veeam B&R? Thanks!
