Hi team,
Could you please take a look at support case #08188929?
During a POC, we found that Azure China “China East 3” (chinaeast3) is missing from the region picker when adding Azure Compute resources in the Protection Group creation step.
Azure CLI confirms that chinaeast3 is available for the subscription and is also exposed as a location for Microsoft.Compute/virtualMachines. However, Veeam currently only shows the other five Azure China regions.
As a result, VMs deployed in China East 3 cannot be added to protection.
Could you please confirm whether China East 3 is currently supported by VBR, or if this is a known limitation/issue?
Thank you.

Re: Azure China – China East 3 missing from region picker
Hi Lei,
I found chinaeast3 in our internal RnD documentation on a list of unsupported Azure Archive locations.
I assume the same limitation may also affect other functionality in our product. Since our support engineer has already started researching in your case, let’s wait for their conclusion.
If the answer is not sufficient, I can double-check with QA.
Best,
Fabian
