Hi,
Does VEEAM meanwhile have the possibility to backup a physical HDD in a VM? And if so, from which version?
Thanks.
Kind regards,
Christian

Re: Backup a physical HDD in a VM?
Hello,
we have physical machine backup since many years (2015). Feel free to use the Veeam Agent for Windows or Linux for those "Frankenstein machines".
Best regards,
Hannes
PS: nobody can back up "outside virtualization platform data" with backup methods that are built for virtual environments. It's impossible to apply a VMware / Hyper-V snapshot to something that is outside VMware / Hyper-V

Re: Backup a physical HDD in a VM?
Thank you for your answer.
Unfortunately, we have an old infrastructure here with some "Frankenstein machines".
I will then back up the machines via agent as if they were physical machines. As a workaround, they won't run much longer anyway.
Kind regards,
Christian
