Hi Community,
we need to backup data from a volume which is planned on the Backup server itself. Do we need an additional physical agent installed on the Backup Server (Windows Server 2008 R2) or can we work with the Backup server like any other physical server without installing a seperat license?
Thx in advance & Bye Tom

Re: Backup data from Backup Server
Hi Tom.
You can use Veeam Agent for Windows to backup a volume from Veeam B&R server. This could be a standalone agent installation (manual) or managed by Veeam B&R installation (controlled via B&R console). Thanks.

Re: Backup data from Backup Server
Honestly, I don't think you need a license to take a backup of a volume from your backup server. You can use Veeam Agent for Windows as a standalone deployment and run the backup job in FREE mode (of course if you don't need the application processing of any kind).
