Backup for VMs in ISP cloud

Hello all,

organisations are moving to clouds.
So VMs are running on Cloud providers servers.

Most Cloud providers provide backup for that servers for "Disaster recovery" case.
So, if you damage your VMs, they are able to restore it.
It's OK.

But ... how to make my own data backup inside that cloud?
What to use if I do not have access to hypervisor (Hyper-V or VMware ...)?

I'd like to be able to do backup of my VMs by myself. And to be able to restore deleted file as well.
I'd like to have deduplication applied to that backups.

So, what solution from Veeam I'm able to use?
Those VMs are not in Amazon (AWS), Google ... it's our local Cloud privider.

Hello,

For example Veeam Agent in standalone mode (Windows/Linux/Solaris/AIX) might be a way to go or you can manage Veeam Agents for Windows and Linux in Veeam Backup & Replication.

To clarify, its not mandatory to run agents in standalone mode within public cloud infrastructure. If your local Veeam B&R server has assed to the machines on the guest level - you still can use agent management functionality within Veeam B&R. Cheers!
