Veeam Agents versions support for VBR 9.5 U4

Hi,

after we deploy VAL v3 , it is only support vbr 9.5 u4. Also, vbr 9.5 u4 is not support VAL v1 and v2.x. [ID# 03382433].

i am clearly in a dilemma about how to upgrade val and vbr. i need upgrade VAL and VBR at the same time, but it is clearly impossible in enterprise environment.

Normally, i expect that if VAL and VAW are within life cyle , it can support new VBR.[ID# 03337760] [ID# 03337761].
(it is veeam commitment)

So, don't upgrade to VBR 9,5 u4...it's traps and make you trouble

hopefully, hot fix could be released shortly.

While VAL 3.0 indeed does not support VBR versions prior to 9.5 U4, VBR 9.5 U4 does support VAL 2.0 or later agents.

So, there are no traps: you should upgrade you VBR first, and then let it spread updated agents in you infrastructure.

Thank you for your update. Could you please clarify your colleagues? [ID# 03382433] is still not close? i am confusion.

Hi,

I confirm that VBR 9.5 U4 supports Agent versions before v3.0 (e.g. 2.0.1). The technical papers that our support team relies on contained some unclear instructions, that will be fixed right away.
